We Believe in Our Community
The Montezuma Leadership Network is a new initiative under Onward! A Legacy Foundation, dedicated to providing leadership pathways and opportunities for our community’s business, nonprofit and governing leaders.
Due to the perfect storm of the worldwide pandemic, retirement, people moving, and career shifts, Montezuma County’s local training programs and facilitators almost completely disappeared.
In May of 2022, a handful of community leaders in Cortez Colorado came together to discuss this problem and the impact it had on our community. As a result, they launched the Montezuma Leadership Network to build and equip both the existing and emerging leaders of Montezuma County.
Our Vision
Montezuma County will be a community rich in thriving local leaders and leadership development opportunities.
Our Mission
To provide development opportunities for current and emerging leaders through immersive cohorts with Leadership Montezuma, robust continuing leadership education, and meaningful peer networking.
