Job Description

Position Summary: The Community Involvement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing MLN’s engagement with the Montezuma County community. This position focuses on implementing community-centric initiatives and fostering collaborative relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Project Management:
  2. Outreach and Engagement:
    • Develop and execute community engagement strategies, including public relations and marketing activities.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with community members, local leaders, and organizations.
    • Participate in strategic planning efforts related to community and economic development.
    • Establish and maintain an online networking platform to engage participants in LM and other pillars.
    • Develop and manage network participants relation management database.
  3. Program Integration:
    • Work closely with MLN’s pillar committees to integrate community initiatives into their activities.
    • Coordinate, facilitate, convene, guide and implement networking pillar strategies
    • Facilitate feedback loops between community projects and MLN’s strategic objectives.
  4. Data Collection and Reporting:
    • Conduct surveys and compile data to evaluate project effectiveness.
    • Regularly report on project progress and outcomes to the Steering Committee and Program Manager.
  5. Grant Writing and Fundraising:
    • Assist grant writing efforts and manage grant-related activities.
    • Collaborate with the Fundraising Committee to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
  6. Other Duties as assigned by the Steering Committee

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in project management and community engagement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in strategic planning and collaborative partnership facilitation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suites.

Position is remote but requires Coordinator to live in Montezuma County. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $20-$25 per hour. It will require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and will require travel throughout the County to attend community events/meetings. Travel over 100 miles per week will be covered at the IRS standard mileage rate.
