Cortez, CO – Region 9 Economic Development District will present an informational training on
Enterprise Zone Tax Credits on Thursday, November 2 from 11:30 AM – 1 PM at the Cortez Welcome
Center, 928 East Main Street. Lunch will be provided for registered participants by the City of Cortez.
This training is available to all businesses in the Region 9 District, including the businesses in
Montezuma County, Mancos, Dolores, Cortez, and Dove Creek.
Businesses located in the Enterprise Zone are eligible for a variety of State Tax Credits. Credits are
earned by investments in equipment, job creation, training, and rehabilitating vacant buildings. All of
Dolores, Montezuma, San Juan, most of Archuleta, and parts of La Plata counties are Enterprise Zone
eligible. All of Dolores, Montezuma, San Juan, and parts of Archuleta counties are Enhanced Enterprise
Zones, which provide businesses with additional incentives.
Chuck Forth, CPA will be available to answer questions at the training. The session will be available via
Zoom for registered participants.
